Drop-In System
The Drop-In System drops into the trailer pockets for faster setup, easier removal, and fewer steps during daily loading and unloading.
Unlike other On-Truck Systems that require the standard pinning workflow, the Drop-In System can be picked up from the ground and dropped directly into the trailer pockets by the user. When the work is finished, it can be lifted out of the truck bed and set aside.
For facilities that need fall prevention on truck trailers without slowing down the loading process, the Drop-In System provides a simple, lightweight, and practical solution.

How Drop-In Systems Work
The Drop-In System is installed from the ground and placed directly into the stake pockets of the trailer. It covers both sides of the trailer and prevents falls for workers who need to access the trailer bed.
Because the system does not require pins for normal use, workers can set it in place quickly and remove it when it is no longer needed. Pins can still be used for added safety if the truck needs to be moved by a driver.
Typical gate lengths include 8’, 10’, and 12’, with custom lengths available to fit different trailer layouts, stake pocket spacing, and operating needs.
Built for Simple Daily Use
The Drop-In System is designed to be easy to handle, easy to place, and easy to remove. It ships already assembled and is made from lightweight aluminum, helping crews reduce setup time while providing fall prevention during trailer loading and unloading.Key Benefits
No Standard Pinning Workflow Required
The biggest advantage of the Drop-In System is its simplicity. Users can pick it up, place it into the truck bed pockets, and begin using it without going through the standard pinning process required by our other On-Truck Systems.Fast to Set Up and Take Down
The system is built for work environments where speed matters. It can be installed from the ground, removed from the truck bed, and set aside when it is not needed.Lightweight Aluminum Construction
The Drop-In System is made of aluminum, making it easier to handle while still providing a durable fall prevention barrier for flatbed, stake, step deck, and Conestoga trailer applications.Ships Already Assembled
The system arrives ready for use, helping reduce installation complexity and making it easier to put into service quickly.Customizable for Your Trailer Fleet
The Drop-In System can be customized by length, height, and distance between stake pockets. It can be designed for trailer lengths including 20’, 24’, 36’, 48’, and 53’.Designed for Indoor and Outdoor Use
The system works in indoor facilities, outdoor yards, steel operations, manufacturing plants, and distribution settings.Ideal Applications
The Drop-In System is a strong fit for facilities that need a faster and more flexible form of flatbed truck fall protection.
It is commonly suited for:
Flatbed Trailers
Provides a practical fall prevention barrier for workers accessing open-deck flatbed trailers during loading and unloading.Step Deck Trailers
Drops into existing stake pockets to prevent falls without requiring a more involved setup process.Stake Trailers
Helps protect employees working around uneven trailer heights and open trailer edges.Conestoga Trailers
Can be used in applications where trailer design, loading workflow, or space limitations call for a removable on-truck solution.Facilities That Need Faster Setup
Ideal for operations that want the protection of an On-Truck System but need a simpler setup and removal process.
Problem
Loading and unloading flatbed trailers creates a serious fall risk for workers. Open trailer edges, shifting materials, uneven footing, and busy work areas can all increase the chance of a fall.
Many facilities know they need fall prevention on truck trailers, but the challenge is finding a system that employees will actually use consistently. If a system takes too long to set up, requires too many steps, or slows down the loading process, it can create friction in the workflow.
That is especially true for operations where trailers come in and out quickly, where workers need to move between loading areas, or where a removable system is preferred.
Solution
The Drop-In System gives facilities a faster way to add fall prevention to flatbed, stake, step deck, and Conestoga trailers.
Instead of relying on the standard pinning workflow used by our other On-Truck Systems, the Drop-In System is placed directly into the trailer pockets. Workers can install it from the ground, use it while work is being performed, and remove it when the trailer bed needs to be cleared.
This makes the system especially useful for teams that want dependable trailer fall prevention without adding unnecessary complexity to the loading process.
Comparison vs. Alternatives
Compared to overhead lifeline systems, the Drop-In System does not require workers to tie off to an overhead structure before accessing the trailer. It provides a physical barrier on the trailer itself.
Compared to our mobile platforms, the Drop-In System stays with the trailer application and does not require a separate rolling structure to be moved into position.
Compared to our other On-Truck Systems, the Drop-In System is easier to place and remove because it does not require the standard pinning workflow for normal use. It is designed for facilities that want a fast, removable, on-truck fall prevention option that can be dropped into the trailer pockets and lifted out when the job is done.
